The VR Ombudsman Office
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) encourages VR customers with concerns about their case, counselor or office to reach out first to the local Area Supervisors or Director https://www.rehabworks.org/customers/contact.html. However, the division recognizes that sometimes additional assistance is needed to resolve concerns. To that end, VR customers may file a complaint, challenge or appeal a VR decision or get help to fully understand and participate actively in their VR case by contacting either the VR Ombudsman Office or Disability Rights Florida (also known as the Client Assistance Program). If you have a concern, complaint or question about VR services that you have been unable to resolve with the staff at your local office, the VR Ombudsman Office is here to help. This office is an impartial third party that helps:
- Facilitate communication between customers and VR office staff.
- Strategize solutions for resolving issues related to a customer’s case.
- Answer questions regarding Vocational Rehabilitation policies and procedures.
- Provide general information and referral.
