Steps to Get Started

The VR process is a series of steps that will help students who are in high school or post-secondary school (trade, college or university) and youth who are out-of-school, with disabilities. Students with disabilities may use this series of steps that will help you explore career paths, train for a job, and continue your education based on your interests and abilities.

Ask Your School to Make a Referral

Verbally request your school’s transition counselor or guidance counselor to submit a referral to VR.

Youth who are not in school may use the traditional steps to get started training for and finding a job.
